The Allerair Airmedic Vocarb carbon blend unit is designed for people concerned about household or office volatile organic compounds (VOC's), gases and odors, and who may also require particle protection. The cylindrical shape with 360° air intake to removes chemicals, particles, gases and odors on the very first pass. This means a consistent and fast flow of clean, pure, breathable air.
The D model has a 25 lb 3.0" deep carbon filter for heavy odor and gasadsorption. A Micro-HEPA replaces the full sized HEPA filter to accomodate the larger carbon filter.
Deeper carbon filters increase "Dwell Time", the length of time chemicals, gases and odors are in contact with the adsorbing carbon surface. Deeper carbon filters are more effective in adsorbing chemical, gas and odor molecules.

activated carbon filter featuring 20 lbs. of specially blended MAC-B virgin carbon.
Medical Grade HEPA - Particles are no match for this medical grade HEPA which removes 99.97%
of all airborne particles as small as 0.3 microns. AllerAir systems have been
found to remove particles down to 0.01 microns with close to 99% efficiency

Pre-Filter - Designed to prolong the life of the HEPA filter, this pre-filter captures large
particles and prevents them from clogging the HEPA.
